Resident Engineer - Infrastructure

About the role

Egis is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join its infrastructure project management and construction team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. In this on‑site position you will act as the primary technical authority and project representative, overseeing infrastructure development from planning through completion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and site operations to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare technical reports documenting progress, issues, and corrective actions.
• Manage project schedules, timelines, and milestones while coordinating with stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Monitor budgets, analyze cost variances and implement cost‑control measures.
• Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and construction methodologies.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise delays.
• Maintain organized project records, including daily logs, test reports, and compliance documentation.
• Communicate project status to management, clients, and regulatory authorities and ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure or construction project management.
• Proven expertise in project management and construction management (PMCM) methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction practices, and technical specifications.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
• AutoCAD experience (preferred).
