Rig HSE Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Rig HSE Specialist to lead health, safety and environmental compliance on an oil and gas project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves developing policies, conducting risk assessments, and driving a strong safety culture across on‑site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to local and international HSE regulations (OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, API) and develop site‑specific policies and procedures.
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses and risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.
• Organise and deliver HSE training, safety drills and awareness campaigns for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Conduct regular site inspections, internal audits and prepare detailed HSE performance reports for management and regulators.
• Manage hazardous material handling, waste management and environmental protection measures.
• Develop emergency response plans, lead incident investigations and provide root‑cause analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably on‑shore drilling or production sites.
• Proven ability to work in multicultural environments and relocate to Saudi Arabia.
