Roads Engineer (Full‑time, m/f)

About the role

ARX is expanding its presence in the Middle East and seeks a Roads Engineer to join its Riyadh office. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of road and highway projects, ensuring they meet local standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee road and highway projects for various infrastructure programmes.
• Perform and review road geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading, and pavement design.
• Ensure all designs comply with Saudi regulations, standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate road systems into overall designs.
• Manage road levels, corridors, crossings, junctions and interfaces with other infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans and documentation.
• Review technical deliverables from engineers, designers and BIM/CAD teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients and stakeholders to meet project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience on infrastructure projects with a focus on roads and highways.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of road and highway systems, including geometric, traffic, grading, intersections, junctions and pavement design.
