Rotating Equipment Inspector

About the role

SGS is seeking a Rotating Equipment Inspector to perform hold, witness and surveillance inspections at manufacturing facilities and construction sites, ensuring strict compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specifications. The role involves on‑site verification of material handling, storage, and protection, as well as detailed reporting of any non‑conforming practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct “Hold”, “Witness” and “Surveillance” inspections and tests at SAUDI ARAMCO facilities and construction sites.
• Inspect material and equipment for proper handling, storage, and protection according to SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
• Monitor contractor quality systems, records, and personnel for compliance.
• Review and evaluate contractor quality document submittals.
• Witness on‑site and off‑site material and installation tests for compliance.
• Record and report all controversial or non‑complying practices, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare inspection reports, Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets (WSs) and Equipment Deficiency Reports (EDRs).
• Maintain safety standards during all inspection activities and uphold confidentiality.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in Engineering with at least four (4) years of relevant inspection experience, OR a two‑year industrial/technical college diploma with a minimum of eight (8) years of inspection experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or CSWIP Welding Inspector certification.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable international standards, including API 653 and API 510.
