Safety Manager

About the role

The Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the project's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system. You will ensure a safe working environment, regulatory compliance and alignment with company HSE standards across a large EPC construction project.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the project HSE Management Plan.
• Supervise Safety Supervisors and Safety Officers on site.
• Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses and enforce control measures.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
• Monitor compliance with HSE regulations, permits and internal procedures.
• Perform site HSE audits, inspections and safety walk‑downs.
• Coordinate HSE training, inductions, toolbox talks and emergency response drills.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports to project and senior management.
• Liaise with client HSE representatives and regulatory authorities.
• Review and approve method statements for high‑risk activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of HSE management experience on EPC/construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent HSE certification.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
