SAP Technical/Functional Consultant

About the role

Master Works is seeking a SAP Technical/Functional Consultant to extract data from SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems and integrate it into the Cloudera/HDFS data platform. The role combines deep SAP functional knowledge with hands‑on data‑engineering and ETL expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Extract data from SAP (ECC/S4HANA) and load into Cloudera/HDFS.
• Apply strong SAP functional knowledge (MM/SD/FI) and understand SAP data models, including transparent, cluster, and pool tables.
• Develop and validate extraction queries using ABAP and Open SQL (SE16N, SQVI, ABAP reports).
• Utilise SAP extraction methods such as SLT, ODP, BODS, or CDS views.
• Handle delta/CDC loads from SAP efficiently.
• Orchestrate and schedule extraction/load pipelines with Apache Airflow.
• Design ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter/BDM and SAP connectors.
• Perform data transformation and processing on Cloudera using Apache Spark and PySpark.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP data extraction and integration.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP MM, SD, and FI modules.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ECC/S4HANA, ABAP, Open SQL, SLT, ODP, BODS, or CDS Views.
• Experience with Cloudera/HDFS, Apache Airflow, Informatica PowerCenter/BDM, and Apache Spark/PySpark.
• Proven ability to work with SAP data models and delta/CDC loading processes.
