Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the accounting function, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, month‑end close, and financial reporting. This position transforms financial data into actionable insights, supports cost efficiency, and ensures compliance with IFRS and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end AP and AR processes, optimise DPO/DSO, and oversee credit card and expense reimbursements.
• Lead month‑end accruals, prepaid schedules, and fixed‑asset accounting including depreciation, disposals and impairment.
• Own the general ledger, cash‑flow forecasting, and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate external audit, develop accounting policies, and maintain internal controls.
• Partner with IT to optimise ERP (SAP) and support Zakat and Tax filing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA or CMA preferred.
• 5‑7 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting, preferably in a holding or diversified business.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting and data analysis.
