Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective control of company assets. This role works closely with auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Assist in budgeting, monitor variances, and provide financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and financial regulations; implement internal controls.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and collections.
• Prepare and file VAT and Zakat returns and support tax planning.
• Conduct financial analysis to deliver insights and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
