Senior Data Scientist

About the role

The Islamic Development Bank seeks a Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced statistical and data‑science initiatives. You will design, build and maintain predictive models, dashboards and data pipelines that support evidence‑based research and inform strategic decisions across the Bank’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, harmonise and disseminate key statistical indicators and predictive models for member‑country analyses.
• Maintain and update the IsDB website with high‑quality data visualisations and analytical insights.
• Develop, document and govern robust databases and data pipelines using modern cloud technologies.
• Apply machine‑learning and AI techniques on Microsoft Azure platforms (Data Lake, Functions, App Service, DevOps).
• Create interactive dashboards and web‑based data applications with tools such as Tableau, Power BI and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with regional and international statistical agencies to ensure alignment with global standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in advanced statistical analysis and data‑science within a senior role.
• Strong background in developing reproducible workflows and automated indicator pipelines.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
