Senior HSE Engineer for Expo 2030 Project

About the role

The Senior HSE Engineer will integrate health, safety and environmental requirements into the planning, design and operation of the Expo 2030 Riyadh infrastructure program. The role focuses on reducing risk, ensuring compliance and supporting a safe legacy development after the event.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and document daily inspections of project sites, ensuring health and safety compliance for client contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Raise observations through the employer’s online reporting system and follow up on safety non‑conformances to ensure timely corrective actions or escalation.
• Participate in pre‑start safety kick‑off meetings and weekly contractor meetings to discuss safety performance, reward schemes and health‑safety file requirements.
• Verify the suitability and ongoing availability of security, traffic management, logistics and emergency arrangements and report findings daily.
• Issue work suspension instructions when imminent risk or uncontrolled unsafe conditions are identified, coordinating with the ESH Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• Relevant International Occupational Health and Safety qualifications.
• 10–15 years of experience in construction safety, risk assessments and traffic management.
