Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor plays a critical role in executing the annual internal audit plan. You will conduct individual audits, support the Internal Audit Manager in leading audit teams, and help strengthen the overall effectiveness of the audit function.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of a dynamic, risk‑based internal audit plan by participating in risk assessments for selected assets or sectors.
• Act as a team member on assigned engagements, delivering high‑quality and timely fieldwork independently.
• Assist with engagement planning and reporting, keeping the Lead Auditor updated on progress and significant findings.
• Coordinate with the Quality Team to obtain in‑flight quality advice and address QAIP feedback.
• Supervise and coach junior team members and trainees as needed.
• Drive personal performance and development, ensuring timely completion of performance management requirements.
• Build relationships across the company and subsidiaries to promote knowledge sharing within the Internal Audit function.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Working towards or holding a recognized certification such as CIA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with business process owners.
• Team‑oriented yet capable of working independently.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of risk assessment frameworks, control identification and assessment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with audit tools.
