Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician will lead the execution and optimisation of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic maintenance activities on production equipment. The role focuses on maximising equipment uptime, reducing downtime, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical, electrical and pneumatic repairs, adjustments and calibrations on production machinery and utility systems.
• Diagnose machine faults, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and inspect critical components to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
• Identify wear trends, recommend part replacements or system upgrades, and support predictive maintenance initiatives.
• Assist production lines with equipment setups, changeovers, tooling adjustments and monitor efficiency parameters.
• Support engineers during commissioning of new machinery and line modifications.
• Provide technical guidance, training and supervision to junior technicians and operators.
• Maintain daily maintenance logs, spare‑parts usage records and enforce 5S housekeeping and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety protocols.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on industrial maintenance experience, including machinery setups and troubleshooting.
• Technical Diploma (2–3 years) in Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Technology from an accredited institute.
• Proven ability to read engineering drawings, technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving and ability to work under pressure.
