Senior Project Engineer – Grid Technologies Substations

About the role

As a Senior Project Engineer in the Grid Technologies Substations Project Management team, you will lead complex substation projects that support the energy transition for major clients. You will work in a collaborative environment that values mentorship, continuous improvement, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of project professionals.
• Oversee end‑to‑end execution of substation projects, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Implement and manage project governance, including risk management and change control.
• Act as an escalation point for complex project challenges and facilitate timely decisions.
• Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for project processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical) – preferred.
• Significant experience in project management within energy, power transmission or substation sectors.
• Proven leadership experience supervising professional‑level staff.
• Strong capability in applying formal project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Well‑developed stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
