Senior Roads Engineer (Full-time)

About the role

ARX is seeking a Senior Roads Engineer to join its Riyadh office. The role involves leading the design and delivery of road and highway projects across a range of infrastructure programmes, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee the design of roads and highways for diverse infrastructure projects.
• Perform and review road geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading, and pavement design.
• Ensure all designs meet local standards, regulations and best‑practice guidelines.
• Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate road systems into overall project designs.
• Manage road levels, corridors, crossings, junctions and interfaces with other infrastructure disciplines.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans and documentation.
• Review technical deliverables produced by engineers, designers and BIM/CAD teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients and stakeholders to satisfy project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on roads and highways.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of road and highway systems, including geometric, traffic, grading, intersection and junction design.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
