Senior Technical Field Advisor - Electrical

About the role

The Senior Technical Field Advisor – Electrical (Senior IV) leads site activities for power generation equipment, planning and coordinating labor, tools, and technical assistants to meet contractual requirements. The role involves on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and providing technical guidance to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
• Perform on‑site installation of systems and equipment, followed by preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical instruction to customer representatives.
• Prepare technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, and complete timesheets and expense sheets promptly.
• Sign off on all changes, conduct walk‑downs during installation, and ensure aftermarket upgrades are completed.
• Coach, mentor, and train team members, fostering field engineering expertise.

Required profile

• Technical or university degree, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of field services experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in field services or power‑generation equipment maintenance.
• Successful completion of Level IV training programs.
• Strong competence in reading electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams, dial and laser alignment, and thermal growth equipment.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel extensively, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
