Senior Traffic and Detour Engineer (Mega Civil Project)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic and Detour Engineer to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh, within the Infrastructure Division. The role focuses on civil engineering and transportation projects, including roads, highways, bridges and tunnels in urban environments.

Key responsibilities

• Technical control of all traffic management proposals during construction and final highway schemes, coordinating with other discipline specialists and quality control.
• Resolve or coordinate design issues, advise on design changes, and oversee review of contractor’s technical submissions, shop drawings, materials and design submissions.
• Conduct final review of contractor’s drawings, schedules, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project design concepts.
• Assess and report on Value Engineering proposals and coordinate with other supervision services teams.
• Act as point of contact between the traffic department and the HSE Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transport or Traffic Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on mega construction projects, primarily as a consultant, with proven onsite traffic management experience on road projects.
• Strong understanding of construction, design and engineering principles, local building codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Excellent communication, report writing, teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
• Transferable Iqama (for non‑Saudis), based in Riyadh, and valid SCE membership.
