Simulator Technician – UAV Simulators

About the role

CAE is seeking an experienced Simulator Electrical/Hardware Technician to join its team at Al Majma’ah Airbase. You will maintain and repair a fleet of three UAV simulators, including two generic mission training devices and one desktop system, while gaining exposure to modern simulation technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose and resolve faults in complex flight simulation systems.
• Apply updates, bug fixes, and software/hardware integrations in collaboration with test engineers and pilots.
• Calibrate instruments, perform functional and visual tests, and run Qualification Test Guides.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, pre‑flight and post‑flight checks, and detailed fault analysis.
• Document maintenance activities in the management system and handle logistics such as parts receipt, repair, and validation.
• Assist with hardware refurbishments, modifications, and administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification (e.g., electrical or avionics).
• Work experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field as a technician.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills
