Software OSS Engineer (Oracle OSS)

About the role

The Software OSS Engineer will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Oracle OSS platforms that enable commercial telecom services. You will design, develop, and maintain solutions that improve operational efficiency, ensure service quality, and support scalability across FTTx, 5G, mobile and fixed networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, testing, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Oracle OSS systems throughout project lifecycles.
• Configure and customize Oracle OSS modules (OSM, SOM, UIM, ASAP, IPSA, OFSC/WFM, TOM, NI, Design Studio) to meet provisioning, inventory, order and workforce management needs.
• Integrate Oracle OSS with partner and third‑party applications, ensuring seamless data flow across the network ecosystem.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
• Monitor system performance, tune resources, and guarantee compliance with SLAs and performance targets.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, code, APIs and data structures.
• Collaborate with network engineers, operations teams and business analysts to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Manage release cycles, coordinate testing, and deploy software updates.
• Present technical updates and project status to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle OSS analysis, design, implementation and support in telecom environments.
• Strong understanding of telecom services such as FTTx, 5G, mobile and fixed networks.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly.
