SRE / DevOps Engineer – OpenStack (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Rackspace Technology is seeking an experienced SRE / DevOps Engineer to join its Saudi Arabia support team. You will work on the OpenStack private cloud platform, providing high‑level technical support, automating operations, and driving reliability improvements across cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software that enhances reliability, availability, and manageability of OpenStack‑based applications.
• Automate development, testing, and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Git, GitLab, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 support to resolve escalated system and customer issues.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and network problems, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Use observability tools (ELK, Grafana) to create proactive alerts and monitor Service Level Objectives.
• Contribute patches to OpenStack components and engage with the open‑source community for bug fixes and enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong background in operating and troubleshooting OpenStack cloud environments.
• Hands‑on experience with the full software development lifecycle, from coding to production support.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Saudi Arabia and communicate effectively in Arabic.
