Structural Engineer – Building Projects (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of mixed‑use, commercial, residential, hospitality, aviation, sports and high‑rise building projects across Saudi Arabia. You will work within the Buildings team, reporting to the Principal Structural Engineer, and contribute to safe, coordinated and cost‑effective structural solutions from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and foundation systems.
• Prepare calculations, analysis models, technical notes, reports and specifications.
• Apply Saudi Building Code and international standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC) to evaluate gravity, wind, seismic and temperature actions.
• Coordinate design information with architectural, civil, geotechnical, MEP, façade and BIM disciplines.
• Collaborate with BIM teams to produce coordinated structural drawings and models.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions and contractor queries, and participate in design reviews and constructability meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Relevant post‑graduate experience in structural design of building projects.
• Working knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and international standards.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and structural steel design through concept to detailed stages.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
