Supply Chain Director

About the role

Sourcing Connections seeks a hands‑on Supply Chain Director to lead the transformation of a fast‑growing, multi‑site trading business. You will own procurement, logistics and warehousing across a hub‑and‑spoke network, modernising physical and informational flows to achieve real‑time visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and redesign the in‑house vs. 3PL/4PL balance for fleet and warehousing.
• Integrate Logistics and Procurement managers into a unified high‑performing function.
• Define safety‑stock policies for commodity‑price‑indexed products and reduce slow‑moving inventory.
• Drive digital transformation from monthly reporting to real‑time dashboards and portals.
• Partner closely with sales and commercial teams to accelerate customer response times.
• Develop a lead‑supplier‑plus‑backup‑supplier strategy to mitigate geopolitical and port disruption risks.
• Create a comprehensive supply‑chain strategy, governance model and digital roadmap for executive approval within 12 months.
• Manage the systems and capability budget and own CAPEX cases for warehousing projects.

Required profile

• Commercially minded leader with experience in complex, multi‑site environments.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Proven ability to own both strategy and execution.
• Comfortable driving lean operating models and digital rigor.

Required skills

• ERP fluency – Microsoft Dynamics (experience a plus) and SAP.
