Systems & Avionics Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Systems & Avionics Engineer to provide technical engineering support for aircraft systems and avionics, ensuring continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance and operational safety. The role involves troubleshooting, defect assessment, reliability investigations and managing compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting, defect evaluation and corrective action definition for aircraft systems and avionics.
• Review, assess and track Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and related technical publications to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate repairs, modifications and engineering orders with OEMs, Part‑21 design organisations and contracted MROs.
• Support aircraft induction activities by verifying systems and avionics configuration and documentation.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, approvals and compliance documentation; prepare evidence for audits and regulatory queries.
• Promote safety, quality and human‑factors practices and participate in oversight of contracted maintenance providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of airline or MRO engineering experience supporting systems/avionics, preferably on the A320 family.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to compile compliance evidence for audits.
• Effective communication with maintenance control centres and ability to work under time‑critical conditions.
• Safety mindset with awareness of human‑factors considerations.
