Technical Support Engineer – Automotive Solutions

About the role

The Technical Support Engineer will provide comprehensive application engineering support to drive new equipment sales and enhance the performance of the existing fleet in Saudi Arabia. The role supports Ashok Leyland’s dealership strategy by ensuring maximum machine uptime, optimized application performance, and strong customer retention across the Kingdom.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technical submissions for standard and special application solutions, coordinating with customers, suppliers and sales teams.
• Support customer visits and ensure timely submission of technical proposals, offers and supporting documentation.
• Provide technical assistance to the Construction Equipment team, including customer engagements, technical submittals, benchmarking and training arrangements.
• Execute assigned technical support activities and compile monthly reports such as Market Share, Lost Sales, Quoted Participation Rate, Prospect Sheet and Customer Satisfaction surveys.
• Conduct and supervise machine demonstrations, competitive inspections and Total Cost of Ownership studies.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of experience in technical support or a related engineering role.
• Ability to prepare and submit technical reports and proposals on schedule.
• Strong coordination skills with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
