Technical Support Officer – IT Help Desk

About the role

GT Medical is looking for a proactive Technical Support Officer to deliver first‑line IT assistance across the organization. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, network and system issues while ensuring a smooth technology experience for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide phone, email, remote‑tool and on‑site support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer and network (LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi) problems.
• Install, configure and maintain Microsoft 365 applications, user accounts, passwords and access permissions.
• Support IP phone systems (Grandstream), CCTV (Hikvision) and biometric/fingerprint devices (ZKTeco).
• Maintain IT asset inventory, technical documentation and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Assist with employee onboarding/offboarding, including IT setup and access provisioning.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT teams and provide user training on best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support or help‑desk environments.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Windows operating system.
• Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
• Networking fundamentals – LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
• Hardware and peripheral installation and troubleshooting.
• IP telephony (Grandstream) – installation and configuration.
• CCTV systems (Hikvision) – setup and maintenance.
• Biometric/fingerprint systems (ZKTeco).
• Endpoint protection solutions (ESET or similar).
