Traffic Engineer

About the role

The Traffic Engineer will plan, implement and monitor temporary traffic management plans (TTMPs) for infrastructure projects across the MENA region. The role ensures safe and efficient movement of vehicles, pedestrians and construction activities while complying with Saudi regulations, client requirements and international safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement TTMPs in line with project specifications and Saudi standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients and local authorities to obtain approvals for diversions, road closures and traffic control measures.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments and evaluate construction activities to minimise disruption to road users and surrounding communities.
• Monitor the effectiveness of traffic management plans, conduct site inspections and recommend improvements.
• Ensure proper installation and maintenance of traffic control devices, barriers, signage, road markings and detours.
• Schedule construction activities to reduce congestion and operational disruptions.
• Investigate traffic‑related incidents, prepare reports and propose corrective actions.
• Liaise with municipalities, traffic police and transport agencies for permits and compliance.

• Mid‑level engineering experience.
