Traffic Engineer

About the role

The Traffic Engineer will support Bechtel’s ongoing work on the Jubail and Ras Al‑Khair industrial cities, providing transportation recommendations for the City Master Plan. The role focuses on integrating public transit, industrial material handling, rail freight and port traffic into a cohesive mobility strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate transportation recommendations for residential, industrial and port areas within the master plan.
• Apply traffic management principles, techniques and analysis to optimize traffic flow and safety.
• Review, consult on and revise contractors’ Traffic Management Plans and related industry applications.
• Conduct traffic safety assessments and implement engineering solutions to mitigate risks.
• Coordinate with local architects, engineering firms and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in traffic safety and traffic engineering.
• Proven ability to work on large‑scale civil engineering projects, preferably in an EPC environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
