Valve Shop Technician II

About the role

The Valve Shop Technician II is responsible for maintaining rotating equipment and mechanical systems within KBR’s oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia. The role involves installation, routine maintenance, and repair activities to ensure equipment operates to required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate maintenance tasks to technicians and supervise ongoing jobs, reporting progress to the foreman.
• Organize manpower, equipment, and material availability, and secure necessary work permits.
• Provide technical advice on proper tool and equipment usage.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance Planning, and Technical departments to execute work orders.
• Maintain accurate SAP data entry, including history and actual hours.
• Attend daily and weekly maintenance progress meetings and ensure compliance with SATORP standards.
• Promote safety by adhering to hazardous work regulations, PPE usage, reporting near‑misses, and participating in safety audits and training.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in oil & gas maintenance.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management for oil & gas facilities.
• Excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to make sound judgments under pressure and work in a multicultural environment.
