Weighing Officer

About the role

The Weighing Officer ensures that all incoming and outgoing materials are weighed accurately, documented correctly, and traced for audit and regulatory compliance. This position works closely with warehouse, quality, and dispatch teams to support smooth material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Perform weighing of raw materials, finished goods, and returned items using calibrated scales.
• Record weight readings in manual logs or electronic systems as required.
• Verify batch numbers, product details, and packaging integrity before weighing.
• Label weighed items according to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain weighing logs, forms, and system entries with high accuracy.
• Ensure weighing activities comply with SFDA and internal SOP standards.
• Report any weight discrepancies, product code issues, or documentation gaps immediately.
• Keep scales clean, calibrated, and report any malfunction to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with warehouse, QC, and dispatch teams for timely processing of materials.

Required profile

• Experience in warehouse operations or weighing activities is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with WMS/EWM systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
