Workshop Mechanical Technician – Jeddah

About the role

Join a leading global food company as a Workshop Mechanical Technician in Jeddah. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of production equipment through hands‑on mechanical work, welding, and fabrication.

Key responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, refurbishment, modification, welding and fabrication on machinery and equipment.
• Operate machine‑shop equipment such as lathe, milling machine, shaper, planer, drill press, grinders and band saw.
• Inspect and maintain workshop tools, special tools and spare parts to ensure they are in good condition.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
• Support continuous‑improvement and equipment‑reliability projects together with the maintenance team.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and comply with HSE, GMP, 5S, HACCP and food‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical Trade, Turning, Welding or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a machine‑shop, welding and mechanical maintenance environment, preferably in Food/FMCG.
• Hands‑on experience with arc, gas and TIG welding.
• Proficiency operating lathe, milling, drilling, grinding and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Business‑level English proficiency and willingness to work in Jeddah.
