Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join its finance team in Khobar. The role focuses on processing vendor invoices accurately, maintaining AP records, and supporting month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Verify invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and delivery notes.
• Record accounts payable transactions in the ERP system.
• Prepare and process supplier payments according to agreed credit terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end closing tasks related to accounts payable.
• Maintain organized AP files and respond to vendor or internal payment queries.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable or a junior accounting role.
• Basic understanding of Saudi Arabian VAT regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar ERP accounting system).
• MS Excel (basic to intermediate proficiency).
