Area Manager – Ultra Fast Grocery Operations

About the role

Amazon Now is building a new ultra‑fast grocery service across AMET. As an Area Manager you will lead the launch and scaling of fulfillment operations, guiding cross‑functional teams from pre‑launch through sustained operations. This role combines hands‑on project management with long‑term operational leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the launch of ultra‑fast grocery fulfillment sites, overseeing pre‑launch tasks and network standards.
• Lead and develop a team of Area Managers across multiple sites and countries.
• Promote a culture of safety, well‑being and high performance across all shifts.
• Analyze performance data, implement corrective actions, and ensure SLAs, quality and productivity targets are met.
• Collaborate with finance, HR, real‑estate, procurement and other functions to align operational goals.
• Identify and execute process improvements using lean and performance‑metric techniques.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2 + years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and comfort interfacing with senior leaders.
