Assistant Chief Steward – Hospitality

About the role

The Assistant Chief Steward supports the Chief Steward in delivering a flawless back‑of‑house operation for a luxury resort. Working closely with culinary leadership, you will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and efficiency across all kitchen and food‑service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Steward in coordinating daily stewarding activities and workflow.
• Supervise stewarding team members, ensuring tasks are completed to SLS standards.
• Maintain kitchens, back‑of‑house areas, equipment, utensils and dishwashing stations in a consistently high state of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Monitor proper use, cleaning and handling of kitchen equipment, utensils, dishwashing machines and stewarding tools.
• Support the team with hands‑on tasks, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to motivate and support a diverse stewarding team.
• Commitment to safety, hygiene and operational efficiency.
• Experience in a high‑volume hospitality or resort environment is preferred.
