Assistant Cost Controller

About the role

Rotana Hotels & Resorts is seeking a motivated Assistant Cost Controller to support the Cost Controller in daily financial operations. The role focuses on inventory management, cost allocation, and ensuring accurate financial reporting within the hotel’s food and beverage outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform stock taking of various stores at month‑end and conduct spot checks.
• Execute the bi‑annual operating equipment inventory and report any losses.
• Verify spoilage reports and forward them to the Cost Controller for proper accounting.
• Assist in yield testing of meat, fish, and juices.
• Conduct market surveys for food products, especially fruits and vegetables.
• Enter new items, pricing, and menus into the Micros POS system.
• Import daily Micros sales data into FBM for inventory reconciliation.
• Account for inter‑outlet transfer requests to ensure correct cost allocation.
• Perform random spot checks in beverage outlets and verify receiving invoices against actual quantities and quality.

Required profile

• Degree in Hotel Management or Accounting.
• Minimum two years of experience in a hotel environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong teamwork, customer focus, and results‑driven attitude.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff with a fair, approachable style.
