Assistant Store Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily store operations, helping to achieve sales targets while developing the team to deliver excellent customer experiences. This role acts as the deputy, ensuring smooth store performance in the manager’s absence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team to uphold high customer‑service standards and create exceptional shopping experiences.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Buying and Planning, providing feedback and ensuring alignment on promotions and product assortments.
• Drive sales performance by monitoring KPI targets and initiating business‑improvement actions.
• Manage and execute sales promotions and brand activities, communicating details to relevant support teams.
• Maintain store operations during the Store Manager’s absence, addressing any disruptions promptly.
• Implement and enforce company policies to minimise stock loss and damage.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma; a retail‑related qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 4‑5 years of experience in the retail industry.
• Proven management skills with the ability to develop and motivate a store team.
