Bank Accountant – Treasury Operations

About the role

The Banks Accountant will support the Treasury Operations Manager by executing payments, reconciling bank accounts and handling statutory banking requirements across multiple projects and departments. This role ensures accurate recording of banking transactions and timely reporting of loan and cash positions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute payment plans for vendor payments via internet banking or manual forms.
• Obtain and circulate payment receipts, manage LG and LC applications with banks.
• Monitor loan instalments, interest charges and update loan reports monthly.
• Download bank statements, perform bank reconciliations and adjust records as needed.
• Prepare monthly closing journal entries for bank expenses, FX differences, interest and loan instalments.
• Manage cheque‑book requests, registers and communicate rejections to relevant teams.
• Coordinate opening/closing of bank accounts and provide required documentation to auditors and tax advisors.
• Generate bank reconciliation, loan utilization and daily bank position reports for management review.
• Identify and propose cost‑saving opportunities related to banking commissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a banking or treasury environment.
• Valid membership with the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems – Oracle Fusion, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Bank reconciliation and loan reporting expertise.
