Business Developer - Large Industries

About the role

Air Liquide's Large Industries Business Development team sits at the intersection of strategy, commercial, finance and project management. It drives the growth of the Large Industries business line by orchestrating the solution sales process of multi-million investment projects, combining strategy, customer relations, financial modelling, commercial offers and contract management.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and grow trusted relationships with large corporations in oil refining, chemicals, petrochemicals or steel
• Analyze customer needs, processes, projects and pain points, and explore decision-making criteria and leaders
• Assess competitors and identify business growth opportunities aligned with company strategy
• Write commercial presentations, offers and bids, and negotiate project framework agreements such as gas supply and utilities agreements
• Mobilize cross-functional project teams (engineering, legal, finance) and define cost, scope and schedule
• Ensure timely investment decisions and write internal project deliverables such as investment committee notes
• Build and control the project financial model for pricing and investment decisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or finance field; MBA is a plus
• 5 to 7 years of business development experience involving investment decisions
• Knowledge of refining, chemical or petrochemical processes or energy transition considerations is a plus
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East
