Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will build and nurture strategic relationships with clients and partners to drive short‑term revenue and long‑term growth. The role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, implementing sales strategies, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse potential markets, industries and customer segments.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and key stakeholders.
• Develop and implement sales strategies and targeted campaigns to attract new customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to uncover growth opportunities.
• Maintain CRM data, perform analysis and generate reports.
• Manage client portals (e.g., SAP Ariba) and oversee vendor registration and proposal submissions.
• Measure customer satisfaction and evaluate the effectiveness of business practices.
• Collect competitor data on pricing, sales, marketing and distribution methods.
• Represent the company at conferences and present proposals on product or service promotion, design and pricing.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or MIS.
• 1‑3 years of relevant experience, including exposure to CRM systems and SAP Ariba processes.
• Professional proficiency in English; conversational Arabic is a plus.
