Business Planning Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Business Planning Specialist to support the planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting of strategic initiatives and projects. The role will maintain planning frameworks, track performance and provide timely insights to enable effective decision‑making and achievement of organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and enhancement of business planning methodologies, tools, templates and processes, incorporating local business requirements.
• Maintain planning documentation and reporting tools to ensure consistency with organisational standards.
• Assist in reviewing project schedules and business plans, develop and maintain project timelines, track milestones, deliverables and dependencies.
• Monitor progress against approved plans, identify risks or deviations and escalate issues to management.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve planning and execution issues and ensure timely follow‑up on action items.
• Prepare reports, presentations and status updates for governance activities and consolidate performance data from multiple sources.
• Analyse performance metrics and trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ability to acquire updated soft and technical skills related to the role.
• Capability to deliver planned activities on schedule, utilise resources efficiently and provide periodic deviation reports.
• Problem‑solving aptitude to address operational issues and escalate complex matters.
• Commitment to quality standards and development of effective quality control processes.
• Orientation towards business process improvement and coordination of well‑defined activities.
