Senior Fixed Assets Specialist

About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery is seeking a Senior Fixed Assets Specialist to manage the lifecycle of refining and laboratory assets in Riyadh. The role ensures accurate capitalization, depreciation, and physical verification of high‑value equipment while supporting financial reporting and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the fixed asset register, recording additions, transfers, and disposals in the ERP system.
• Execute monthly depreciation runs and allocate costs to appropriate cost centres.
• Coordinate and conduct periodic physical asset counts at refinery and office locations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and the register.
• Review capital expenditure requests for compliance with capitalization policies.
• Provide asset schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Process asset write‑offs and disposals in line with company policy and environmental regulations.
• Prepare fixed‑asset disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• At least five years of experience in fixed‑assets accounting, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, especially IAS 16.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics for asset management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reconciliation.
