CDZ Operations Specialist

About the role

The CDZ Operations Specialist will support DHL Global Forwarding’s customs and trade compliance activities in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will ensure smooth customs clearance, accurate tariff calculations, and adherence to regulatory requirements while contributing to cost‑effective service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute customs entries, categorize goods, and file customs security documentation.
• Monitor shipment validity dates, duties, tariffs and ensure timely clearance at government institutions.
• Calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume for import and export shipments.
• Provide pricing and margin guidance, support bids, RFQs and customer presentations.
• Resolve customer issues, manage escalations and disputes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulation changes and ensure compliance with import/export legislation.
• Assist with import licence issuance and export control processes.
• Collaborate with customs authorities and government bodies to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in customs, trade compliance or logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariff classification and import/export procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple stakeholder inquiries.
