Chief Financial Officer

About the role

Mindfield Resources is looking for a commercially driven, operational Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance agenda of its large‑scale food manufacturing and distribution business in Saudi Arabia. The CFO will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership, focusing on profitable growth, manufacturing performance, working capital and cash generation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive profitable growth through rigorous pricing, trade‑spend, promotion, and product‑profitability management.
• Strengthen manufacturing economics, including raw‑material costs, conversion costs, yield, waste, productivity and capacity utilisation.
• Improve working capital and cash conversion by controlling receivables, credit, collections, inventory, expiry risk, supplier payments and cash forecasting.
• Translate complex financial and operating data into clear, timely management decisions.
• Challenge unsupported sales forecasts, revenue assumptions and route‑to‑market investments.
• Partner with manufacturing and supply‑chain leaders to boost productivity, cost control, yield, planning and inventory discipline.
• Evaluate CAPEX and expansion proposals across capacity, automation, warehousing, fleet, equipment and distribution infrastructure.
• Identify and address under‑performing customers, channels, territories, products, SKUs and commercial agreements.
• Lead fact‑based performance reviews that drive decisions and accountability.
• Develop a high‑performing finance organisation with strong capability, controls and reporting discipline.

Required profile

• Senior CFO, Finance Director or operating‑finance leader with substantial experience in food manufacturing, FMCG manufacturing and distribution, or a comparable high‑volume consumer business.
• Commercial judgement and operational depth to improve profitable growth and cash generation.
• Proven ability to partner with commercial, manufacturing, procurement, supply‑chain and distribution functions.
