Cyber Simulation Exercises Scenario Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Simulation Exercises Scenario Developer to design, build and deliver realistic cybersecurity simulation exercises. You will create threat‑hunting events, live‑fire drills and capture‑the‑flag (CTF) scenarios that help improve our organization’s cyber readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end cyber simulation exercises aligned with capability‑building objectives.
• Create realistic injects, training materials and artifacts such as emails, logs, alerts and threat‑intel reports.
• Build, configure and maintain cyber‑range lab environments, including networks, servers, endpoints and security tools.
• Orchestrate exercise execution with automated, event‑driven injects to ensure authentic participant engagement.
• Support delivery, troubleshoot issues, facilitate sessions and assess participant performance.
• Develop KPIs, scoring models and post‑exercise reports to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience creating cybersecurity simulation exercises on cyber‑range platforms.
• Strong understanding of incident response, cyber‑attack techniques and defensive security controls.
• Experience building and managing virtualised or cloud‑based lab environments.

Required skills

• PowerShell, Python or Bash scripting.
• Windows and Linux administration.
• Active Directory, networking fundamentals.
• SIEM, EDR and security monitoring technologies.
