Demand Planner – FMCG

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join our fast‑moving consumer goods business. You will be responsible for creating accurate forecasts, managing inventory, and collaborating with sales and manufacturing to ensure supply meets demand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement forecast models based on sales trends and seasonality, maintaining a 6‑month rolling unconstrained demand forecast.
• Partner with sales and manufacturing sites to mitigate supply risks and capture opportunities through scenario planning.
• Monitor and optimize finished‑goods inventory across depots to achieve 100% order fill for stock items.
• Lead weekly/monthly Consensus/S&OP meetings to align supply chain and commercial forecasts.
• Provide root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for forecasting metrics.
• Conduct reviews with key account managers and participate in cross‑functional customer focus teams.
• Support annual budget planning and portfolio rationalization activities.
• Execute special assignments as directed by senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of demand planning experience in the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of inventory management practices.
• Solid mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards experience is a plus.
• Certified Demand Planner credential is a plus.
