Material Planner L2-Ext

About the role

Join Alstom’s supply chain team as a Material Planner L2-Ext and help ensure material availability for high‑impact rail projects. You will work closely with procurement, engineering, finance and other cross‑functional teams to optimise inventory and support project success.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Work Package Owner on procurement, driving material milestones to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) commitments.
• Analyse inventory consumption, identify trends and implement improvement plans to reduce stock and maximise cash flow.
• Define material typology (ABC classification, variability) and set up planning parameters and batch strategies.
• Create purchase orders, follow up with suppliers and ensure timely deliveries.
• Participate actively in the Engineering Change Committee to plan material changes.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of supply‑chain principles, inventory optimisation and procurement strategies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data‑analysis tools.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
