Director – Government & Ecosystem Partnerships (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

This senior position will lead the development and management of strategic relationships with Saudi government ministries, corporate partners, and ecosystem stakeholders. You will act as Orbit Startups' primary liaison in the Kingdom, driving business development, investment engagement, and startup support across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with key Saudi government ministries and public‑sector partners.
• Establish trust‑based connections with leading investors to facilitate capital raising for portfolio companies.
• Identify, onboard and maintain new investor, corporate and government contacts in Orbit’s CRM system.
• Represent Orbit at high‑profile events and networking opportunities throughout the Kingdom.
• Facilitate second‑stage meetings between Saudi‑focused portfolio companies and relevant corporate customers.
• Create partnership roadmaps and go‑to‑market strategies for startups entering the Saudi market.
• Maintain detailed CRM records and report on engagement progress and outcomes.
• Organise investor showcases, mentor events and ecosystem meet‑ups as the local ambassador.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships or strategy roles.
• Saudi national, fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Deep understanding of Saudi public and private sectors, including investment and innovation ecosystems.
• Proven relationship‑building, communication and networking abilities.
• Highly proactive, persistent, with strong organisational and planning skills.
• Analytical thinker with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to long‑term outcomes.
