General Accountant – Al Mahjar, Jeddah

About the role

The General Accountant will support the finance team by preparing financial reports, handling bank reconciliations, and assisting with cyclical audits. The role requires strong interpersonal abilities and solid business acumen to interact with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Book general ledger transactions, including accruals and adjusting entries.
• Process accounts payable, supplier payments, employee reimbursements, and cash advances.
• Perform inter‑company reconciliations and manage fixed‑asset accounting, including depreciation.
• Prepare financial statements (balance sheet and profit & loss) and create ad‑hoc reports for business needs.
• Compile tax documentation and analyze financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ensure timely debt payments.
• Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters within agreed timeframes.
• Track all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from a European university.
• Certified SOCPA member.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounts/finance.
• Residency in Jeddah with ability to commute to Al Mahjar Industrial Area Phase 1.
• Fluent English and Arabic communication skills.
