Governance Consultant – Compliance & Risk

About the role

The Governance Consultant supports the implementation and continuous improvement of governance and compliance frameworks across the organization. The role monitors regulatory requirements, conducts assessments, manages compliance risks, and provides advisory support to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and enhancement of governance and compliance frameworks, methodologies, and controls.
• Monitor applicable laws and regulatory developments, assess their impact, and communicate updates to business units.
• Conduct compliance assessments and reviews, identify gaps, document observations, and track corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance risk registers, recommend preventive controls, and support risk monitoring.
• Develop, review, and update compliance‑related policies, procedures, and standards.
• Provide governance and compliance guidance to internal stakeholders and coordinate cross‑departmental initiatives.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports, dashboards, and management updates for regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Experience in governance, compliance, or regulatory risk management.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess compliance gaps and risks.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple business units.
