Governance Risk and Compliance Manager

About the role

The Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Manager will lead the development and implementation of the organisation's GRC framework. This role ensures alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business objectives while promoting transparency, accountability and robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual plan for the GRC department.
• Coordinate with other departments to align GRC activities with organisational priorities.
• Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with relevant functions.
• Design, implement and continuously improve an integrated GRC framework.
• Maintain and update the Delegation of Authority Matrix and ensure departmental compliance.
• Provide advisory support to management on delegation, authority and risk mitigation.
• Review and update policies, regulations and procedures, overseeing their implementation.
• Contribute to risk management plans, risk assessments and monitor risk management systems.
• Evaluate internal control designs and recommend enhancements.
• Oversee contracts, committee formations and task‑force governance processes.
• Develop training plans for the GRC team and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent diploma.
• Professional certification such as CGRCS – Certified Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (or equivalent).
