About the role
The Housekeeping Floor Supervisor oversees the daily operations of room attendants and housekeeping staff on assigned floors of a luxury Sofitel hotel. This role ensures that guest rooms and public areas meet the brand’s high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of room attendants, conduct briefings and allocate workloads.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, service areas and public spaces to verify compliance with Sofitel standards.
- Perform detailed quality checks before rooms are released in the system and address any guest feedback promptly.
- Train, coach and motivate housekeeping staff, enforce grooming and uniform policies.
- Maintain accurate reports on room status, discrepancies, lost & found and maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure health, safety, chemical handling and sustainability practices are followed.
Required profile
- Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel.
- Previous supervisory experience highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
Required skills
- Basic computer knowledge of Property Management Systems, specifically Opera PMS.
