Legal Affairs Specialist

About the role

Dewan Al Dahab, a leading gold bullion and jewelry trading company in Jeddah, is looking for a Legal Affairs Specialist to provide comprehensive legal support across its operations. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, monitoring regulatory changes, and collaborating with internal teams and external counsel to ensure compliance with Saudi law.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and service providers.
• Provide legal opinions and memoranda on commercial transactions, employment matters, and operational issues.
• Monitor changes in Saudi commercial, corporate, and labor laws and recommend compliance measures.
• Coordinate with HR and other departments to review internal policies and procedures.
• Assist in managing litigation, disputes, and legal claims in partnership with licensed lawyers.
• Respond to inquiries from government and regulatory authorities.
• Identify legal risks in contracts and operations and propose preventive solutions.
• Maintain organized records of contracts, track renewal dates, and prepare periodic legal reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Relevant experience in corporate legal affairs, contract drafting, and review.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi commercial, corporate, and labor legislation.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
• Experience in the gold or jewelry trading sector is a plus.
• A license to practice law is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Arabic for drafting legal documents.
• Professional level English for reviewing contracts and correspondence.
